Remix of the neverending story-ish tune

A remix of the neverending story-ish synthpop tune I posted earlier. The producer is going to do a club event to promote the video, and so we decided to do a bit more dance-able remix. More like reharmonization actually...
So the thing is, we will create remix kits based on the reharmonized progression of this track, instead of the original to make the remixer's guy's life a little easier. Essentially the remixer will be doing a remix of a remix, so to speak. Kind of interesting.
This is just hot off the press, I still want to tweak the balancing between the vocal vs the comping... the vocals are overpowered by the comping.. dunno, what do you think?
Also, compare it with the original, and I'd like to hear your comments on my reharmonizing too.. I think I did a fairly good job at keeping the harmonies "advanced", creating a new groove (over the original 8 beat base to a 16 beat based funk) It's another take at my continuing persuit in trying to introduce advanced progressions to dance music. I think it can be done. Some people might say it sounds fusion-ish... but with this texture, it's obviously not fusion, so what it is it.
I also went a bit "rock" or electro influenced indie-rock in some parts, obviously being influenced by the local dance/indie rock scene. Anyway, overall I'm quite content with this one. A little innovative, a little advanced in harmony, while maintaining good groove.
