Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
well, 7 bids isn't too bad at all, considering almost 1.5 days to go...
of course everyone is trying to make a steal at eBay so why drive the price up if you're interested ?
usually things start to get momentum the last 5 minutes, last 30 seconds, final 5 seconds
if I'm interested in an item I make up my mind in advance about the amount and that would be my one and only bid. If you know your connection speed, it's not too difficult to manually hit the last couple of seconds.
I'd place the bid a few seconds earlier (to avoid unexpected network trouble) if it would be an important item (because it's rare or I always wanted or I'm desperately in need etc).
good luck, Tom

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
just stumbled across an auction of an Akai breath controller with soundmodule...
listed for 120 Euro in the overview - clicked on the item
2 minutes to go 124 - read description, indeed both parts included... hmm interesting price
1 minutes to go 138, 30 seconds 169... etc ... auction closed at 338 Euro
place an own safety bid (by a reliable friend) a minute before end if the bids are way too low
everyone is doing it - be it covered by the rules or not
cheers, Tom

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
maybe the 'list' above was a bit ambigous - it was the eBay overview of items
120 Euro would have been ridiculously low for the EWI1000 wind controller together with the EWV2000 (rack-mountable dual analog mono-synth with midi out)
the winner still got it for a fair amount imho - I'm not too familiar with these items, but think I've seen them finish much higher sometimes.
cheers, Tom

yeah, around 300 EUR for a 6-dsp card each, and the 4-dsp card as a free gift, is what I would expect as a maximum, too.stardust wrote:But still....I wont expect more than 900.

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
well.. 7 hours left and still only 385.
i hope that you guys are right about the last minute bidding being the best!

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
Ebay can be very random in my experience. It really does depend on who's looking to buy things at any one time. I've seen things go for ridiculously cheap prices, and also seen things that go for stupidly high prices. It's just the nature of an auction - sometimes you get a bargain, sometimes you don't.
Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
yeah, there's the best reason to break groups of things up. bundles are almost always a bargain for the buyer...
Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
One other thing to point out - if you have a low feedback number, you have less chance of attracting bids. Transactions older than 90 days aren't trackable, so if I was a buyer looking at your feedback, I would think there's every chance that you built up your feedback using small cheap items, ready to pull a scam on an expensive item. Just playing devil's advocate here, not accusing you of doing this

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
That's an excellent price to get for those cards these days.stardust wrote:I saw someone selling 3 x 15DSP in a bundle getting 'only' 700 € for each since it totalled to 2100

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
Agreed,
It's even more strange to notice that a few people complain about the price of XITE-1, which is only about 700 euro more than these three big cards together and about triple as much processing power...

OK, so they're worth even more now then.stardust wrote:That was roughly 2 years ago thoughShroomz~> wrote:That's an excellent price to get for those cards these days.stardust wrote:I saw someone selling 3 x 15DSP in a bundle getting 'only' 700 € for each since it totalled to 2100

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
I know, it's insane that anyone would say it's expensive. There's a BIG bloody difference between something being expensive & an individual not being able to afford to buy it.ChampionSound wrote:Agreed,

Re: low prices for used soniccore cards??
me getting an xite?
sadly no..
i could selll all my cards and still need LOTS of money wich i dont have:(
And you know what? i actually get by with only having 9 dsp's! i mix in xtc mode, so i do a mix of vst and dsp stuff.
a 15 dsp would be nice.. but i dont think i would ever use it completely...
But i think i'm the only one here at planetz not craving more dsp's
i'm saving up for a decent mic preamp and acustic treatment stuff for my room. That way, stuff will sound better, and then i'll need even less dsp's for making bad sounding stuff, good sounding!
I am looking forward to the new scope 5 update though!
