The guy I saw using the VS live was an amazing chap who had his VS chops down. I tried to do this w/ a preset that allows 3 different attacks dispersed up and down the keyboard thanks to the K-Follow.
It seems like more than one synth, even though it's a stereo VDAT 2 mp3. take.
The lower keys have a slow attack, the middle keys have a neat Marimba attack, and the tops keys have the bellish attack also.
Holding down the keys is the trick to getting the Vectron / VS thing going.
The song I was remembering when I made this patch was by a German group, I don't remember their name, but the chick was a babe, and the song was Voices Carry I believe.
Then I was thinking of that silly Spandau Ballet song, but the synth was awesome. But hearing the snivelling, whiney singer could gag a maggot.

Try the Lead Bell 2 preset. Play fifths in the low end, fifths percussively in the midrange, and hold down all upper melodies.
Use a great echo device w/ nice tail to help carry the sound over in between different phrases.
