Does somebody know about powerbocking?

I'm really interested (not the frestyle thing) to try this out, but 260 € is too much just to find out that I can`t do anything, just because I'm not enough talented for that.

Tips, tricks or rent before buy are welcome ;)

I really don't have a clue about how much energy is absorbed by the mechanics and how much ends in the lower part of your spine - might be good for a nice surprise after a few years... ;)
if you're a sophisticated skater, snowborder, with good body coordination and some background in athletics... give it a go
the additional height is sufficient to easily break a hand or an arm if you slip without jumping action

cheers, Tom

looks like another interesting way to break your neck
hmhm...as far as I'm informed you are able jog with those jumpers as well ;)

Ouch...that sounds pretty bad.

errrr.....Nope. I'm not real a sportsman. I thought it could be fun to use it for jogging so I can do something more against my fat belly (because I can't kick myself in the ass in order to jog around the block. So I'm after some alternative to couple that with fun (and avoid pain because of my comminuted fractured right foot.)

Hm I tried inline skating but that was no fun...hmmm perhaps I should go for 80s like roller skates (had a lot of fun the, but I were I child in those times...and it doesn`t take much to have fun when you are a child).

Hm....

If you don't mind being ridiculed in the park then go for it. Why not get a Segway too, apparently they make you look really cool.

Well..I don`t care what the others do or saying. That`s not the point...
a http://www.segway.de/ will fit in most metropols to avoid a trafic jam..but I will still use my bycicle as long as it will fit my needs.
I'm ratther seasching for some alternative to jog, not to ride. When it make some kind of fun it will be the best choice.

i just think the potential for looking like a complete cock when you keep falling over is increased with these things, not to mention the not inconsiderable height from which your falling. Personally i'd rather ride or jog.

My comment about the Segway was more to do with them 'being the next big thing' and i have yet to see one (except when Bush crashed his). The Sinclair C5 was also going to be huge as i recall.

Sir Clive was just too far ahead of his time.
Those C5s would be hailed as awsome 'green' transport of the future if they were invented today.

My friend has a pair of the 'jumpy boots'..... they are fantastic. They are quite easy to use too, just a matter of getting used to em.

Go for it I say. Great fun to be had by all

Thanks, Paul. At least an honest decision.
Thank you very much for pointing that out.
But anyway I like to try it, just to see if I could. Probably I´m wrong with that, but probably I can win something....or loose. :(
