When I playback audio files I get random crackles and pops no matter where my latency is set. I can get around it by changing the latency time in Scope while Live is on. So Scope reloads/redistributes the DSP's and all is fine from here. No pops or clicks. I do not have this problem with Cubase SX3 so it must be a Live issue.
Has anyone else come across this?
Ableton Live 7.05 Audio crackles
Well, I've been in contact with Ableton Tech support who have advised me on a few things. They wanted me to go through the very basic setup procedure of checking latencies and cpu loads etc. All worked fine. I can go to 3ms latency
with cubase sx3 no problem with this machine and still not see a significant load or suffer any glitxhes. I can do this with Live also but it seems that version 7.05 and the 7.07 are not initialising the scope driver correctly.
Live run as a rewire slave in cubase also causes glitching...
I have run Live 6.04 korg edition for some time without any problems.
Anyway tech support have asked me to try ASIO4ALL. Anyone who doesn't know about this should check out: http://www.asio4all.com/
Well it does work with the creamware wdm drivers at very low latencies but it's a workaround I wish I didn't have to do.

Hi Mike thanks for the reply. I've now got it sorted!
I had to take my pc apart to fit a new fan which led to a complete disassemble which I wasn't expecting
but having taken all the cards out and reseated them this seems to have cleared up the problem with Live
Funny how it was only Live 7 that brought this fault up? The edge connectors on the stdm did feel a little loose for my taste but they are relatively new.
