Thank you guys out there to respond to my last message.
Maybe I have to say it more clearly ;
I want to use Cubase 5.0 with my AMT 8.
This combination requires OMS to let Cubase communicate with AMT8; without OMS no communication is possible cause I have a G4 DP without modem/printerports.
But when OMS is active and I want to use Pulsar II as I/O for Cubase,then Pulsar gives constantly PCI overflows.
My opinion towards this problem is:
It seems that OMS (AMT8 OMS driver ?) is causing the overflows ; maybe bad USB implementation from OMS. Don't know.
Anyone a solution ?

G4 DP 533 AGP
OS 9.1
Pulsar 2.04b

2 solutions spring to mind. The newer G4 has some issues with PCI performance that should be solved with the new update 2.051. DL that and try.
I had some problems with OMS a couple of months ago. Reinstalling OMS took care of that. Be sure to remove all OMS and Opcode folders first. I did'nt have any PCI problems though. It was some kind of midi loop that took a big chunk of my CPU performance.

Hi,
Perhaps You should make a little change in oms prefs - there is one thing that caused problems on older macs - 'use serial dma driver if avaliable' (or so) should be unchecked. Hope it helps you...
