No sound Windows xp doesnt recognise it

Hello i just installed luna 2 with scope 4.5 on windows xp service pack 2 and after the reboot of the installation my music player cant find a soundcard. Windows xp does recognice it but i hear no system sounds.

Drivers installed propperly ?

What audio playback device is windows configured to use ? ( control panel > audio devices )

thanks for replying so quickly i just rebooted again and noticed i must run scope 4 to let play winamp (i see movement in the program) but still i hear no sound. in control panel it uses creamware play/rec 1

Ok so you see the mixer activity when winamp plays ?


You can check to which hardware-outputs your mixer is routed. Have you see the routing window ?

in the scope platform you mean? i see in the menu of OUTs:

MIDI 1
SEQ 1
WAV 2
WAV 2
AUDIO 2
AUDIO 3
ASIO 2

hmmmm..... I dont know about these "Audio" things, but on my pulsar2 & scope I have "analog dest" which I use.......

Those are on the live bar, it's a list of the loaded output (=dest) modules, and not what Francis was talking about... You should go to the routing window, load a "wave 24 bit source" module (appears as WAV on the INPUTS menu), and that will bring in the sound of the Windows driver into the scope environment.

You should then connect that module to the physical output you're using to listen, either directly, or through a mixer.

hi i have put in the 24 wave bit source (3) into the routing window my question now is how do i connect it onto the physical output ? it connected automaticly onto IL6, IR6 dont know what it means. many thanks for replying!!

Drag 'n' drop a Wave Source module into the Scope Project window. Drag 'n' drop the Analog Dest module. Connect the outputs of the Wave Source to the inputs of the Analog Dest. Open up you windows player - you should hear something now. Save this project as your Start Up Project if you want it on boot up (Set>Settings>Projects>Save Project as Startup.
