I like this stuff.

What was the difference between the 2 versions though. A little vocal intro?

no surprises here... but I liked the reverbed 16th sequence towards the second half. the clear reverb really sharpens up the overall contour.

second mix is just a remastered version I think., much hotter.

hi seymourbutz

what did you do?!!
these airy middle and nice highs in that punchy mix?!!

i´m impressed, very nice

its live recorded (i think 15 times..), than i take the best one and edit a little bit,
and than send it through optimaster.
i tryed psyqing but it was to much ends without middles...
and i dont wanted it to heavy compressed.
and i dont wanted so much work on it.

-i have to say much music here on the forum sound fatter than my mix :-?

so i have to learn

greetings

Welcome To The Club Brotha' Man Basati,

That's why I ask away.

I noticed a difference also, and am curios to the Modus Operandi. :)

hahaha! glad you guys liked it, it was late when it was done yesterday. Today I woke up wondering if your mix really needed it, and well if you'd be pissed off or something. Phew...

basati, your mix sounds pretty good on its own, and the tune is very cool for dance floors

A month ago this guy tgstgs noticed one of my mixes was lacking high frequencies and made a demonstration of it that was quite convincing. So I started hunting down the sfp tools to help correct this and tried eqs, compressors and stuff.. I stumbled across Master-d beta 1.7 and Bingo. I found this thing so simple to use yet so powerful.

Funny thing is when I listened to your song the first time, I was working on a song here that had two compressors strapped across the stm2448 two bus, first the Master-d 1.7 beta and then the optimaster which was set only to gain a few extra dbs in volume

After realising the fact, I muted both compressors and thought the song was 'weaker' in terms of presence, hence my post

so there you go :)

thank you all for your comments.

seymourbutz that was great -good to know what is possible to blow up the sound.
the beats came from a korgemx... i think the pulsarsynths defefinitly sounds bigger - but not so handy...

thank you for answering!

greetings

Anyone who gets mad in these threads has a right to be offended, as they are exposing something they consider dear to their heart, it is only human afterall.

But to notice the suggestions and learn from them, in a grateful way is DIVINE.

Great example done well by all involved, others are learning.
