Having My Own Area For Downloads

Post by dawman »

I need to create a place where I can stop polluting the Music Thread w/ little examples of effects/ sounds.

I seem to communicate better with members by creating an example of the sounds I am creating, and need to have an area I can use exclusively.

I once again must embarrass myself by seeking help.

But the Z is where I have learned everything. Since I have 8) myself so much in the past, why stop now.

Any Help Is Deeply Appreciated.

You are in a position I have been for some time, it´s time to set up a server of your own. A friend of mine have been using this concept for some time,
and it´s what I will use as well, when I get around setting up my server,
http://www.dynup.net
Check it out!

Cheers

you need an ftp server. there are a lot of software out there that will let you do just that; create a repository of data (mp3s or else) that is accessible to anyone. your isp should be able to get you at least 100 mb of space for free.. but in case you don't want to go through that learning experience, I can offer you to host your stuff here (for free), pm me if interested

Ideally we could remove attachments from the Music thread. Perhaps even give the author of a music/device thread to delete it ?

I just notice I can delete attachments just fine for my user account!!!

You can just create a thread, "Scope4Live Music Sniplets" and post/delete attachments in that thread ?

You can view all your attachments somewhere in your profile... clicking yoru username under a post will direct you to the right page.....
