Hi, is it possible to run three PWSs in one
computer ? We need it for special aplication, that needs many voices.
I know, that 2 PWSs works, but what about three ?

Thanks
Peter

3 cards is the limit for any creamware combination - you might/will have PCI bandwidth issues with that many voices - check out the sts4000 - more voices than the PS/sts3000 64 instead of 32.

you will have to buy three of the softwares too!

YOu can put in 3 luna2 (cheaper than PS and also cheaper than 1xPulsar2) to have 9DSP and add a STS4000. This way sound OK, without buying the software 3times. BTW, only 1 STS is allowed per project, so even with 3 PS you'll still have only 32voices.

therefore it might be better to buy luna-cards instead of powersampler, so you have the pulsar/scope-compatible environment (where you can still use the sts).

I was pretty sure that PowerSampler & Elektra both have the same "Pulsar Plugin Friendly" environment as LunaII... or was I out to lunch here?

Also remember with 2 LunaIIs (vs. a PulsarII), you don't get the Pulsar software (synths, fx, bigmixer, etc). I haven't tested fully yet, but I do know that for example, you can't load SamplePlayerZ from PlanetZ here on a LunaII, it asks for a Pulsar software key...

Hey Subhuman!
You're right about Pulsar synths and effects,
you won't have them, but it's cheaper to buy 3 luna than a Pulsar2, and also, about Elektra & Powersampler, sure you can get the same software to work, but why pay three times the STS3000? 333$ each Luna2 + ~230$ STS3000 vs. 3x555$ for three PowerSampler.

And for the sample player, we won't need it with STS3000! (he can also try the SDS that work on Luna for simple wavs instrument like drums)

BTW, when will you upload volkszampler to my ftp? Did you received my email with info on how to connect?
