Those who know me through the years may find it striking how accurate their insite is into my personality. I was shocked to tell you the truth. And also relieved, since it demystified my personality a bit. (to myself) Anyway, this is a very interesting test, curious to see what others get.

well, the human diversity, in terms of their basic drive, is only so limited I think.. After dealing with how millions of people think and act (I build mini games), it turns out that people naturally group up into categories. You can of course, get granular about the distribution, but there are obvious buckets. I just think the Myers Briggs makes this bucketing a very simple, and accurate task. Just 4 letters, and at a bare minimum, just 4 questions. Amazing. And so far, judging from the results of friends and people that I know well, the results are astoundingly accurate.
I'm trying to come up with a way to quickly asses a person's type, and then make suggestions based on their type. In my context, it's games. But I'm still not sure which games suite which types better, so I still need to think about this.
So, I'm interested this solely as a productivity tool for business. I think everyone here is sensitive enough to know that this is completely inadequate to learn anything real about friends, etc. Don't worry stardust, the business world hasn't pulled my soul out yet. hehe.

I would personally have a problem using any tool to assess a gamer's personality. I believe that too many people have a different persona when playing games on a computer than when they are socialising. Consider the lighting, special effects and music in games. These are mind-altering tools. You would have to study the gamers' personalities after they'd had a go at their favorite games for a few hours.kensuguro wrote:

which is very interesting, and one problem I forsee. I'm not sure if this will work at all, but just thought it was fun that such a thing existed. It'll also be interesting to see which types prefered playing roles of which other types. This is like figuring out who a person wants to be, if they were given the means to. Dunno, it's all just interesting to me as a whole.
Of course, some may feel a natural tendency to be against such a test, which is perfectly fine, since different people feel differently about organization and categorization. I mean, already there is a difference between people who went through the process to find out, and those who dismissed it on first contact. Not to say which is better or worse. We are all unique in our approach.
