record from sequencer to soundforge

Post by sam joyce »

Hi , Ive switched from logic to cubase and want to record some mouse dial movements manually into soundforge. I have just cubase and sounforge running on a pc tower with an origonal pulsar card and scope 4 software running my start project in background. I used to be able to do this with logic! I get a recorded file ok but with some clicks and pops. I have wave source and dest modules 1 + 2 in background project and using pulsar play rec2 for s forge. Any help would be very gladly received. Thanks -sam

cubase uses more resources than logic.

setting scope's priority to "below normal" or "low" and soundforge's priority to "above normal" may help as adjusting the driver settings in soundforge may also help.

to set priority, press cntrl/alt/del.
choose the "processes" tab.
find the application, i.e. wavelab, it may be abbreviated.
right click on the app.
choose "set priority" and highlight your priority setting choice.
you'll get a warning, choose "yes".
