Hi all,
Is it possible to integrate VST plugs such as Waves for example into the Scope platform? That means, can I load them as a devices?

Depending on your DAW software you can also look at it from a completely new perspective. I'm using Reaper and in Reaper you can easily set up external loops using ASIO sends and returns and use such a loop in place of usual VST effects and VST instruments. Now that I've adopted this mix with the host approach I only use scope to run scope effects and instruments in a pseudo XTC mode and patch them to host thru asio channels as external loops. It really simplifies things as you can use scope and vst effects and instruments the exact same way and yet have all the scope functionality available for setting up monitor mixes and stuff while recording which is not AFAIK possible in real XTC mode. And if that's not enough with Reaper it's equally easy to run native effects and instruments on different computers over network.Herr Voigt wrote:You could only integrate a vst device with a sophisticated routing via ASIO, but this will increase the latency surely.
thanks for all inputs
garyb: of course, I can use them within the sequencer and thats what Ive been doing till i got Scope. but the point is: I use them almost on every channel strip or bus in the sequencer's mixer and since its not possible to plug them into Scope's mixer (as I can see from your inputs) there's no point for me to use those great Scope's mixers
the only choice I have is to route instruments and devices to sequenser's mixer through ASIO...
I didnt mean to compare Waves vs Scope plugs, they all great, but Waves has some effects that Scope doesnt, and yet i paid 1800$ for Diamond Bundle
and I dont regret on every buck I spent cause my mixes sound good for me this them. however, I try to build my DAW in a most convenient and efficient way (with your help
)
thanks again to you all for sharing the ideas, thats helping a lot
