ADAT Interface Korg 880AD

Post by Falk »

Hello everybody (My first entry. :) )

I wonder if anybody at this bord has got anything to tell about this Interface.

Korg 880AD

I would like to use it to route a Mic (Rode NT-1), a CD-Player and an old tape recorder into the Scope.

I´d be happy with some experience based facts and opinions.

U see, as long as there are SPL Vitalizers still vitalizing I can´t accept any "It´s old, it sucks" for any kind of gear. But I also don`t like the "You get what you pay for" for my Mic-Chain while thinking of Behringer. ;)

So. Can anyone help me out?

Greetings and thanx for reading so far.

it'll probably work very well. some of those old converters did sound good. you should be able to set scope to slave and make the adat the sync source for scope. you'd set the korg to master and 44.1khz or 48khz depending on the sample rate you want to use and then everything should be fine. better, would be to use wordclock if you have a syncplate for scope, since the korg has a bnc sync input. in this case, the korg can be slave via external bnc....

either way though, it's really a slam dunk. it'll work just fine.

Great! :) Thanx Garyb! ... Well, seems as if I´m going to have a try at it.
But still, i would appreciate every other opinion. ... Well, maybe you´ll read mine in a couple of days. ;)
