Scroll down to the section of the mod synth.
The screenshot shows a pretty cool-looking version of the Pulsar Modular Synth that never surfaced.
I wonder if it's a mock-up or a screenshot of a version that was never released? JB would probably know.
Those overlapping panels are quite funky.

That screenshot you see for the Pulsar Modular must have been a simple mock-up done for the press release by Michael Ruff (known as Miru to most of us), the main graphics designer at Creamware at the time (now part of the Wizoo/A.I.R. Digidesign team). I never saw it.
When I arrived at the beginning of August, there was nothing created for the Modular, and this was my first 'assignment' - to come up with a working modular system in time for the Pulsar debut (we had 3 weeks!). I defined the functions and front panel layouts, and pieced together the insides, but the Modular I graphics were done by a contracted graphics guy, not Miru (I think he was too busy with other stuff). Miru was never happy with the surface size and look, and eventually got to revamp it all with Modular II.
cheers,
john b.
