Hi,
I don't doubt the love to Flexor's modules from all of youn but I would like to know whats the use for a mortal scope user with not much knoledge of making devices ?
Isn't these packs supposed to be sold to developers like the new Greek guys ?
Gia sas kai apo edo !
I would like to know if these are of any use for somenoe who doesn't want to build a device but just to use great ones !
Thank you

Looking at the modules list the only ones I would love to use are all the saturation modules if they can be used as mdl or devs just interconnecting them with mixers etc.
Could the author consider selling them sparately on a nice price ?
I would buy them !!
Thanks

musurgio there are over 150 patches that come with FleXor 3, and I'm sure many more to come from the Mod users who use it.

Valis,
Thanks for your reply.
So you are saying that I buy these modules and leave them in a folder MIII folder I guess and then fish around for patches ?
Are these Flexor all modular components or also mdl's ?
So if I have these users patches what sort of things do I get ?
Thanks !

Don't worry mursugio, i bought FleXor 1.5 and will probably get 3 when my DAW is back in operation and i have never made a Modular synth. i haven't been able to plough through the models that faxinadu made, let alone alfonso, michu and all the others - there are hundreds of patches. And making a module with just a saturation module in - well even i could do that.

Not sure what you mean about the models versus .mdls they're the same thing aren't they? i thought that generally these days .devs are devices you can load in the Scope window and .mdls are for modular windows. i know there are some .mdls that load in the Scope window but i thought that idea got dropped by CW because no-one could understand the difference between a .dev and a .mdl - i know i didn't.

PS. Congrats to Red btw :D .

Its not there!! I already looked there and scope.rgy. It has other third party plugs like transient designer but not flexor 1.5

I think I must've just written it down from the creamware website, entered it then thrown the hard copy away!

When you go to set then registry in scope live bar, you get a list of all the plugs n their keys but flexor isnt listed. Theres a strange one called pulsar software - not sure what that is. Wonder if its flexor incorrectly named?.....

Congrats on the release :)

If anyone is somehow still on the fence about buying F3, let me just say that you really just have no idea what kind of crazy things these modules can do! It's some of the most powerful stuff ever on this or any other platform.

By the way I dig the way the old v1.5 webpage turns into Flexor 3 :)

musurgio - they are modular modules.. useful for anything from simple serial processing of an input signal to a modular shell (kind of like an infinite stomp box heaven), to making really complex patches that will melt your brain. Of course this depends on your patching skills but there are a lot of good patchers out there making stuff for everyone else. I guess wait for the sound examples to go up if you really are that sceptical, but considering the price it's a no-brainer. It's worth the asking price simply for the string resonator and the realtime granular modules. But there's 250+ modules :D

edit - also I can say that these really sound unique. Platforms like Nord Modular and Kyma obviously have their own character and power, but for me, in terms of ease of use/musicality/power, F3 beats them all (and I have used them all).

Congratulations!
I'm a bit sad, that there are no sampler-modules in. That would have kicked it in the universe - nah, it's anyway there. So cool that still brandnew stuff comes for scope.

One question: I don't know, if I had the time, but is it allowed to use these modules inside SDK devices, like I did with the filters & shapers of flexor 1? Maybe the developers themselves want to use their modules for such things?
If someone grants me flexor, I'd build a lot better modul-loader than my first version-fi_shX... I think I'll buy it anyway ;)

Martin

Edit:
Ah, I see: Phil is still planned, so I guess I'm out :(
Anyway, you granted us new hope for a long & bright scope-future! 1000 thanks!!!!

Patchpack E should be working now. If you get a failed file on first download attempt retry, it sometimes does that on the first attempt with some hosts (wish I knew why, will try to figure it out after some sleep.) You can also of course use the torrent with a good client (Azereus or uTorrent etc).

Btw the patch list I put up is only the new Flexor3 patches. New users should be aware that there are additional patches under the 1.x patch downloads that are fully compatible with FleXor 3.0.

:)

There is a small bug in the patches that can be easily fixed:

delete Modular.pre from the preset directory.

I am now uploading the fix (without that file included) for the direct download. when thats finished i will fix the torrent download.

Sorry for that nasty one ;)
