I am running the latest build of cubase sx 3 with a scope project card and a uad-1 pci card on a intel d975Xbx2 mobo with an e6600 processor, 2 gigs of ram, and 3 serial ata drives installed. my problem is this:
I have intermitant bursts of heavily distorted audio at the start of playback in my cubase sessions. The problem only occurs on audio tracks and only at the beggining of audio events. It happen. whether or not i have any plug-ins running. The only fix i have that has completly stopped the problem is uninstalling the uad card from my system. I have tried both of my pci slots and the problem is exactly the same. All of my drivers/software are the latest version except the scope software which is still version 4.0. I also have found that the problem only occurs in cubase. I have tested in abelton live 5, and the latest version of reaper and the glitch won't happen no matter what i do. I have also removed the scope hardware and used the onboard sound and the problem still happens.
I hope thats enough info for someone to tell me something because the tech support guys at universal audio haven't been very helpful. Any help is greatly appreciated as I really want to have the uad on my system.
thanks

Scope and uad-1 problem in cubase
carnosaur rules you
i have the same mobo and 21 dsp running (full level) perfectly without any tweakings but without any uad acrd. I would try (just try !) with a cracked version of another cubase SX ; i mean perhaps your cubase version takes the blame of this problem... HAve you tried to desable some usb controllers too (i don't need it but may be you should try it because of the uad) ?
Hope it helps !
