SW1000XG and Scpoe Pulsar II in unison?..

Post by yamahaysg »

Just wondering if anyone has tried this setup before. I wish to use my SW1000XG with my creamware as the Wavetable sounds are great for what I want. How do you set up both cards in XP?
I apologise profusely for any inconvenience caused but I love the sounds on my SW1000 and I dont want to get a DSP factory as the Scope 4 card will eat it for breakfast with regards audo=io quality!!

Thanks
Yam

I used a SW60xg (the old EISA card) together with a Powersampler (Scope Home) and that was a good combination.
I think you should be able to use the soundmodule from sw1000, but no guarantee :-)
I used a audiocable from sw60xg to my Powersampler, and this might be the way to do it for you too, even if SW1000xg is a different card.
On the other hand, Yamaha rarely update drivers,.
I use a Yamaha MU15 - witch is a outboard SW60sx so to speak, and its very handy for general midi.

I have a DSP Factory with a pair of AX44s in my setup along with a Pulsar II - it uses the same driver as the SW1000XG.

You shouldn't have any problems just feeding the SPDIF output of the SW into your Pulsar II as long as you set the Pulsar's sample rate to Slave in the SPF software and have an SPDIF Source device connected to your Scope mixer device for monitoring.
