Problem with Waves IR-1 & Scope?

Post by Hangee_77 »

Hi,

I am currently mixing bunch of audio tracks in Nuendo & Scope with 32bit/96KHz.
I set the Waves IR-1 True Stereo (loading 2 instances of IR-1 for L & R) for reverb, & yes it is kind of draining my CPU.....this is in XTC mode.
So I decided to record back the individual audio tracks (+ reverb) with the STM mixer in Scope mode, and the problem is whenever I have the IR-1 on, it sounds awful on the STM and when I trun it off, it backs to normal.
anyone know what wrong with that?
Thanks.

I think I have problem with the CPU power issue cause I am running about 40 tracks (32bit/96KHz audio) and the nuendo 'disk cache meter' is extremely hot. It is much better after I dumped all individual tracks (with FX) into individual processed tracks & shutdown all the plugins, but still if bunch of tracks playing at the same time, the disk cache meter is punching the ceilling again.

Is there anything I can do? .......adding physical memory, does it help? (my PC is P4/3.0Ghz/3GB RAM and I have tweak my windows according to musicxp.net site)

Thanks.

Try freezing tracks. I always do that when in need of speed..
