controlling incoming MIDI velocity data?

Post by siriusbliss »

I'm controlling VST synths in Samplitude from an Axon guitar synth. interface, and am finding that - despite the output velocity being turned up in the Axon, and plenty of signal from the guitar, that the note velocity hitting the synths is pretty low.

I've tried tweaking incoming velocity 'floor' levels with no luck.

Does one of the MIDI modules do an input MIDI velocity controller adjustment before hitting the sequencing host?

Thanks,

Greg

gain can be controlled in the sequencer, at least in cubase, sonar and logic. i haven't messed with sam's midi implementation, but it must be the same.

I can control gain just fine in Samplitude, but I'm still having problems further up the line with the signal level coming out of the Axon.

Still trying some other approaches...

Thanks,

Greg
