Adobe Audition clipping STM 1632

Post by Crickstone »

i can't remembering it happening playing back CD's through Windows Media Player (cause I've disabled it and can't remember what I did) nevertheless when I play back a CD track through Audition into the STM 1632 it clips like crazy and I have bring the fader way down or cut the amplitude in Audition. i s this because of what I read it the superior headroom in Scope mixers...can't remember having this problem with Windows Media Player...?

I've read a few things about Audition and driver settings. I'm assuming you are coming in via the WAV device. I'm wondering if you might want to increase the buffer settings in the Audition application preferences.

Just a thought.

Also, are your asio outputs going to independant (non-panned) channels on the stm mixer?
