This is a very powerful synth DAW w/ 16 channels of Gigastudio.
It still uses the G450 Matrox, and the Intel DP865PERL !!
I believe that Core 2 Duo w/ 4MB of L2 cache is the way to go when using Cubase or other apps., but for a GS3 / SFP DAW the old P4 still shines w/ a 3GHz Northwood. The Raptor 150GB raises polyphony in GS3 Orchestra by 40 voices also. 4 instances of Gigapulse Pro convolution reverb poses no problems w/ bb-synth FX on the 32bit PCI buss.
This is an example of why old technology is relevant to me. I have a spare PERL / CPU, and a spare E6700 CPU which I still haven't needed to use.
