HAPPY 8th ANNIVERSARY DAY, PLANET Z!

Post by Nestor »

Happy Anniversary!

PLANET Z!

In your already, 8th year of existence! Since the 15th of January 1999 to the 15th of January 2007!

Thank you to you all for your assistance, friendship and good vibrations of always.

A very special mention, as will always be in every anniversary day, to John Cooper, for having this magnificent virtual place up and running for us to come and get around, learn, solve problems, contribute in solving some, improve your musicianship, becoming a computer geek, enjoy all kind of conversations, and finally, listen to some great music from all around the plant (Z).

8 years... wow! Congratulations to all the participants! My very best wishes for this 2007 that has just started, good luck for you people, and for Creamware as well!

I have done a song for this special day, it’s a little present to enjoy. I have tried to place into it the feeling that Planet Z brings to me, I hope you can get it, and enjoy with me, and why not, upload your all Anniversary song!

See yaaa...

I knew that when I read your routing / mixing post, you were a serious Pulsarian. Proof is in the pudding.

wow! very nice grooves my friend. 7 years. I know we've all been through some major ups and downs in life, changes, and new thing.

It's just so funny that although all our music has evolved and devlelped together for the past 7 years, there is a sense of musicianship, a high regard for the craft that brings us together and connects us all. The Z community.

This tune portrays this change very well I think. The breakbeat / electro orientated drum influence is obviously somthing that Nestor picked up rather recently (past 2 years or so, I think) which got smoothly infused into the fusion/jazz musical orientation that was originally there. The total adaptation of drum programming style, and groove adaptation is very interesting. Of course, the harmonic integrity was there to begin with so I don't think I need to comment on that.

Paul.. I just can never stop dreaming of the time when you Nestor, and I can do something together. Just wait while I brush up my jazz chops.

Congrats John on 7th anniversary of PlanetZ. I have learned so much here over the past 4 years! Such an intelligent community filled with fantastic people and great sound engineers and musicians.

Nestor, your song definately gives me that great feeling about PlanetZ. Very well done! I love your pad at the end with the fireworks.. amazing sound indeed. This one's going into the playlist.

I’ve just came out of bed, and am obviously curious on what is going on right now, in our special day! Of course, the first thing I did was to check for the threads on the 7th Anniversary.

You said this Ken:

“This tune portrays this change very well I think. The breakbeat / electro orientated drum influence is obviously somthing that Nestor picked up rather recently (past 2 years or so, I think)”

That’s absolutely true Ken, I have nourished myself much here, and have learned a more international, open way of making music. I was a traditional jazz-fusion bass player. Now there is so much more to deal with... thanks to the Z!

About you and Paul, I think it is just a matter of time, you already know what I think, I am ready baby...

Lets get some mails with Ken, Paul. We could probably have a gathering through Skype? Then build something through this 2007, with the time we have left. Cheers
