Devices going out of tune

Post by Kymeia »

Anyone have a problem with some Scope devices going out of tune? It seems to be worst with 6 String but I've had others lose tuning as well inc Pro 12 and even Celmo Blue Wave. One minute I'm playing chords and suddenly the notes don't correspond to the keys I'm pressing.

This only seems to happen with Scope synths - my controller is fine and so are any VSTi's I play with it so its not even the midi channel as such except when it's inputting into a Scope device.

Rebooting Scope seems to fix it for a while but it comes on at random.

This has happened occasionally to me.

I've had Minimax go exactly 1 semitone out of tune in a piece which I'm working on. There doesn't seem to be a lot which can be done about it other than, as you say, restarting.

1 semitone seems to be the difference that results when changing from 44.1 to 48k.
I remember when I used the EVP88 piano on a 48k system it was detuned exactly that amount against my hardware synths.
No clue about the original question, tho.

cheers, Tom
