Psychedelia kinda

Standard 70s fare. Intro sax break badly needs a real sax. Electric guitars by Scott Smith.

Why not replace the Sax by a Minimax or Miniscope if you don't have it?

I've considered that, but I have so much lead synth stuff in my music, I wanted a different sound. At least in my experience, sampled or even modelled sax loses a lot of expression, way more than strings or brass. One time we tried to do 'Baker Street' and it sounded really lame.

May I suggest you find a nice alto sax sample at Hammersound.net?

Look in the soundfont section. I have found a couple of pretty decent saxes there.

Alto Sax Jan is quite nice when EQ'd properly. :)
