This one was planed as an ambient track only, but things developt and it turned out into a strange mixture of ambient, drums, choirs....

I let my mood go and I am glad I did.

The setup was a nice one, Rewire to Ableton for the drums and Ahhh arpegs, midi and audio to my live DAW a Mac Book for some Absynth4 thingies, all come together into my PC main DAW for the other instruments, recordings, mixdown and mastering.

17 MB, 12:24 min. , 192kb/sec mp3

I hope it entertains you a while.

I was lucky enough to hear this in the development stages (thanks Chris) so it was quite a suprise to hear how it had changed, especially the intro.

I love everything about this track after the intro (not quite sure about that bit yet).

Mix sounds great on my rig. Love how you've used the solo female.
This reminds me of one of your previous tracks in terms of the lead patch and it really is excellent.
The interplay between the bass and percussion in the main body of the track is great and it seems to me it is the notes that you drop out that make all the other components stand out.

I think I'll drop this onto a CD for a "driving" track whe I go on holiday

You're back on form :D

Nice the ethereal female voice track, it's a sample track or a sampler bank?
4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.

My guess is Soprano samples from SoV through Kontakt but I'd also guess that they've been touched up a bit over several tracks too.
Hmm, I wish I hadn't thought about touching up a soprano

Reminds me a bit of some of my Klaus Schulze records. Maybe Schulze on a digital playground. Artistic!

Thanks, the soprano is from the sov unchanged though, only some delay and reverb.

Very nice!

I must complain about the emulated distorted electric guitar. I feel that it is not appropriate for the song or not grungy/harsh enough. Maybe a personal preference.
