Post by danieldude »

hi all!! how have you been?

im having a strange problem with my pulsar1 with 4.0 driver.
latley when i listen to a project\s that were made in cubase sx, u get like every 25 seconds a great clear sound(just how i want it to be) for 3 seconds, and then the sound is ,well, flaaaaat, un-full, and symple.
is it the end of the cards life?

hi , i will try to get an example.

and , the change is not in volume, its in the body and clearnce of the sound, its like one minute youre listening to an ultra expensive sound system, and the other youre listening to a boombox.

thanks :)

You definitely don't have any rogue automation in SX that could be triggering some effect in either SX or SCOPE?

well,no.. if i there was a plug-in that did that it would have been great!!

does a soundcard has only two conditions, working 100% or totaly damaged?
can it work but not to its fuul levels due to a malefunction?

be well. :)

well, an unstable clock could have such an effect - but unfortunately (in case it should be like that) there are several sources thinkable, starting with a messed software installation, a (partial and occasional) short circuit in the cable whip or a damaged cable, no (grounded) connection between case and card.

don't forget that this is NOT a 'regular' soundcard, as the latter has a fixed architecture made of certain components.
A Scope card receives it's 'structure' by loading a software. Before that there isn't even a basic IO routing - it's like a black hole :D

cheers, Tom
