Hi widy,

interesting arrangement.... far away from simple, because there is much movement of sounds and different elements blend very fine. The overall mix down sound very good too my ears...

with simple i mean that i only spend one day ( last sunday) on this track.

the main reason was to try out my new bcr 2000 controler. the strainge thing was, to fit in a midi controler into scope to automate some controlers was a task of 5 mintues. To automate a new controler was done with 2 mouse clicks. to do the same in cubase+vsti's drives me crazy. if no controler was assigned before i do neeed 10 or more mouse clicks to add a new controler..hardcore ... but it works ..... so i played around the hole sonday with my new controler ... and this was the result ... but thx for the great feedback ... i will try to finish this track ...

thats nice and interesting,

so would you recommend the BCR as a controller? I also hate that mouse-automation...
:) takes too much time and is boring.

Definitely recommend the BCR as a controller, very flexible and works well with scope. spacef also has some BCR templates for some of his stuff, so they come 'pre-assigned'.

hi

thx for the feedback

i'm also happy with my new bcr controler.... but i had some troubles to find the right setup ...

first i tried to connect the bcr via midi port directly to scope .... but to control also vst's in cubase i need to connect also to midi sequencer in and out .... however i get some midi loops ( like a recursion ) ..so i decided to connect the bcr via usb ...... but for this setup i need to focus a midi track in cubase to control scope devices ( im not so happy with this but it works
)......for controling vst's it's not necessary to focus any track in cubase .....

my workflow for now is:
i had no fixed setup with synths or other plugins, so i also have no fixed controler setup or presets.

i assign each controler during work on a track
on scope only right mouse click on a knob.
in cubase i need more mouse click ( i hate the 'geräte manager' dont' know the english word )

mostly i split the bcr into 8 rows .. each row contains 4 knobs and 2 buttons ..... so i can control e.g cutoff resonance , attack and release for each track ... buttons assigned to the vst read and write option.

also the additional buttons assigned to play record stop and jump to the start of the cycle ....

- the assignment of the knobs on the fly break my workflow ... but if i had assigned all the necessary knobs i can control all without the mouse.

+ control more knobs at the same time ... with this option it's more easier to find the right sound wich fits perfectly to the other parts of a track

+- also record one ore more controlers on the fly is fun .. but if i record to much controls at same time i lose the control ..... because before i controled knob by knob via mouse .....

- the controlers on the bcr insufficient to control all ..so also the mouse is needed to rework some controler records or to setup the right fucus in the sequencer ..... but this will happen with any controlrer ....

fazit:
for me it works fine ... i also can recommend it ... the advantage to control more knobs at the same time is a must to have .....
