anyone care to go to a concert in vienna?

Post by borg »

hi there,

the ensemble i work for are playing at the 'wien modern' festival in Klosterneuburg, Schömer-Haus, Sunday 19th of november at 20:00

we're a contemporary/experimental ensemble, champ d'action, and we're bringing a few new creations, one of them is 'voder' by our own artistic leader. we'll be using CW's vocodizer, and Alfonso's 'zing'-mod patch (through which we'll be sending oboe and clarinet), and some mixing.

the ensemble will consist of harp, cello, contra basso, violin, electric guitar, oboe, clarinet, flute, two trombones, tuba, percussion, and 4 synths (juno's), two guys operating three mixing desks and lots of Max/MSP patches, six smaller mixers for the musicians, and me on my trusty old G3 scope rig.

the work is somewhat zappa alike, the 'classical' stuff of course (maybe i'm just too much influenced...)
the other works played don't really appeal to me...

so for the viennese folks around Z... give me a reply and i'll try to get you on the list.

thanks huub!

yes, very much alive. and working too hard. i'm also working for a puppet theatre (froefroe, maybe you have seen them on the oerolland festival, or whatever it's name, you always go to) which i like much more.

this production with champ d'action will be my last. we will also play this piece the second of december in deSingel, antwerp. champagne's on me then, as it will be my final working day for the ensemble.

after that, i'll finally have some time to finish my home and studio so i can start using CW again. i hadn't touched my beloved DSPs for almost two years until we needed some vocoders and pitch trackers for this project.
damn... poohsarsoundgreat :D
