How to discover a phase problem in my DEV circuit?

I suspect some phase problem issue added to audio signal path from my TD-1 beta device.
With wavelab I can observe some pahase modification in comparison to the original signal (i.e. of a stereo drum loop) and with a good monitor system I can hear a substantial full stereo opening of the overall sound (it could be an interesting effect, but for now I wish to build a transparent plugin...)
Probably in the DEV the splitted signal encounter a little delay issue between the mix of original and effected signal.
The best solution could be a sample delay placed in the original signal channel.
But my question is: how to discover the EXACT possible delay of the effected path???
I need a precise fixed sample value.
Any suggest?
Thanks.
