How to discover a phase problem in my DEV circuit?

Post by erminardi »

I suspect some phase problem issue added to audio signal path from my TD-1 beta device.
With wavelab I can observe some pahase modification in comparison to the original signal (i.e. of a stereo drum loop) and with a good monitor system I can hear a substantial full stereo opening of the overall sound (it could be an interesting effect, but for now I wish to build a transparent plugin...)
Probably in the DEV the splitted signal encounter a little delay issue between the mix of original and effected signal.
The best solution could be a sample delay placed in the original signal channel.
But my question is: how to discover the EXACT possible delay of the effected path???
I need a precise fixed sample value.
Any suggest?

Thanks.

i've still not tested it with scope sdk, but it should be possible by using some math modules.
About phase issues with sdk devices, there is some of the mixer components, such as the input gains that are phase inverted by default (i don't know if it's your case)....

just to be clear,
i'm talking about the mixer components of scope sdk, not the mixer devices of scope :)
