hi, i bought 2 lg L1919s monitors 19".
i am waitting now for matrox dualhead2go to arrive.
i intend to have 3 monitors now.
i hope this samll machine made by matrox will do well its job and increase the surface of 1vga out to 2560x1024. there i will connect the 2 monitors i bought and from the second vga out of my graph card i will drive my older sony HS95 19" monitor.
3 monitors!!! 3840x1024!!!

LG monitors seem good, with very good 1:1400 contrast.
sony has only 1:500 contrast.

but... i see that sony has a little better color quality.
LG tends to make black a little blue.
sony gives not perfect black, (perfect black in this category of lcds is i suppose impossible, it is a little grey), but from black, not from dark blue like lg.
so there must be some manual settings.

subsequenlty, i tryied to balance the rgb of the lgs to look like sony, and i also decreased the brightness and contrast of the lgs a lot. the final result is ok.
in an audio workstation i suppose we have to work with low light hitting our eyes.

now about the matrox dualhead2go, which comes to a 3 monitor out as well(triplehead2go), i hope it will work ok.
the only thing that makes me worry about is the lack of dvi in of dualhead2go. i hope there is no quality loss visible.
i will write back again when i receive it from matrox e shop and tell impressions.

Is there a reason you are looking at Matrox cards?
