Hello everyone,

I´m using a PC with 3 CW cards under SFP v3.1c, Cubase SX and an Access Virus TI. My problem is that I can not use (I don´t know how to...) both the Virus as an ASIO sound card, and XTC effects and synths within Cubase.

On my PC, the Virus and the CW cards are seen as sound cards, both from the Windows XP Pro system and by Cubase in the ASIO configuration utility.

But, in a Cubase project, when I insert a XTC device, the device is loaded, but no signal come out of the XTC device, and as a consequence the mix is very silent...!

Does anyone have an idea for this (I hope little) problem?!

Best regards

Fred

Why are you trying to use your Virus as an ASIO soundcard when you have a CW card & SFP ??

well, I don't have any of the two, but there can be only one active ASIO device in a sequencer.
In your case it should be Scope Asio to make the card handle audio io in XTC mode.
There must be a way to make the Virus appear as a VSTi, as otherwise the same problem would appear with any Asio card.
The Virus as an Asio soundcard is probably a mode for those without any Asio card - at least that's my guess.

cheers, tom

Shrooms and Astroman, thanks for your replies.

In fact you're right, I have to set the ASIO driver to Scope in Cubase, and not to the Virus ASIO.

So simple that I realise I should not work so late...!

Thanks again,

Fred

yeah, right.... "working late"...... heaven forbid you come to grips with the fact you're a retard with expensive gear you haven't the slightest clue how to use.

just kidding of course
