TONG IV

I still believe in this compressor & think I again got it much clearer. Left limiter with movable treshold influences control signal (somehow the pre-idea for the MOVamily). Right compressor can also be influenced by treshold- & ratiomovement.

EDIT:
The version, this post was about, no longer exist. The new version covers all needs...

Please test this compressor! It is one of the best sounding in Scope (for special purposes).

Just toyed with it for some minutes on full stereo mixes, but it sounds very interesting . Seems great for loudness maximizing. Should be good on individual sources too.

Like the magic knobs, but how about explaining some what they technically do? The two upper seems to enhance treble and mid/bass, and the lower one seems to add some distortion. Maybe a really effective treble enhancer.
You need a good GUI for this when it's done!

Updated with TongIIc and TongIId. I dropped my lines as edit in the first post.

Try out this device! It really kicks ass!

I dedicate it to the dynamic music of the band "einstürzende heuschober" ;o)

The "LC1" is some kind of help, because it "explains" the principle of moving values...

The rest is difficult to explain. You have to tweak the knobs and try out.

I made a completely new surface...
Now some things should be easier and clearer.
