hi!
using stm2448 i'm trying to record a single channel sound on a track in sonar, while all the other tracks are playing along.
there are several ways to do this, using direct out, bus 1-8, monitor channel.
but the problem is that i want to record, along with this single track, also the FX i set up on the aux bus channles (providing that the only FX active is the one on this particular track and, during the recording, i temporaly disable all the other aux sends)
but the effects on the aux bux on the send/return path cannot be assigne to a bus (1-8), niether have a direct out (i'm using "internal mode"). so the only way to rtecord the track AND the aux FX on that track seems to be the monitor channel.
it should be possible to put an aux channel on the monitor channel... there is the "aux on monitor" mute button, there is the monitor level knob on the aux bus strip.
the problem is that, whatever setting i make, THE AUX FX BUS DOES'T HAVE ANY OUPUT ON THE MONITOR!!!!

what i'm missing!??
i'm pretty sure i did almost everyhting... unmute all the channels, set the mon level to max...read the manual and so on...
some help?

the same problem appears on the 4896 mixer...

Why not connect the returns to actual channels rather than 'return paths' as you would on a conventional analogue mixer to get the most flexibility from your returns?? Scope being so flexible, allows emulation of these classic & powerfull workarounds.
