 - I can see Apple jumping on this.
Perhaps we will see in the near future such models as:
G5 Dual Core iFry®
G5 Quad-Pounder™ - do you want fries with that?
eBurger®
iChips Nano

Great link.

Only problem I see here is when you want to add a couple of extra components...

awesome. The idea of a liquid cooled 100% silent system is cool. Not sure about oil, but as far as I know, water transfers heat like 20 times faster than air. So it makes perfect sense.

What would be nice is if the MB and all parts were in an air chamber, whith all necessary heatsinks extending into a separate liquid chanber, that would leave the components dry but the heatsinks would transfer the heat into the liquid.

Anything that needs to be air tight is tough to maintain though.. at least from my scuba diving experience.

But man, an idea of a 100% silent machine? Future, please come now!

Transformers are often oil cooled. It's a great idea, provided ... as Spirit mentioned... it never needs dissembling. Combine it with a metal case ..... Norwegians could heat their houses while running 500 ghz systems.
