Hi all
Ran into a real wierd problem: I formatted my system due to some crap that squirmed into my system and installed SFP with ease as allways...now here's the wierd thing, the pulsar is installed and recognized by the windows, the SFP is installed and working BUT... the windows tells me that there is no audio device (although the pulsar is installed and working properly in the device manager).
I tried to remove it and reinstall and the same thing happened.
any1 got a clue?
thanks
Pulsar Install prob
If you mean in the "Volume" tab of Settings -> Control Panel -> Sound and Audio Devices, it iss perfectly normal and is not a bug. As far as I know, SFP bypasses Windows' internal volume control thingy, which is why it prints "No Audio Device" on that page. Changing the volume is only possible withing SFP or in your audio application.
Not 100% sure why it does this, likely to keep the signal path as pure as possible between SFP and the audio application(s), which can only be a good thing, especially knowing how *cough* well implemented *cough* the rest of Windows is (i.e. they probably managed to make that volume adjustment routine lossy, so you simply don't want it in your signal path.)
If the "CreaWware Play/Rec" drivers appear in the Audio/Voice section of that same menu, then everything should be fine.
