Arturia announces a virtual Prophet-5/Prophet VS combo synth.

I think, that shouldn't irritate us CW users too much... With Vectron and Pro~12 we've got already pretty good tools in our hands.

Moog, Mood Modular, CS80V & Arp2600 all shared rather similar code for their oscs, until users pointed out the obvious and they made corrections.

I know

And personally, I don't think that arturia's emulations are worth all the hype.

Agree.

Gmedia/Gforce stuff is typically better, and often has some interesting added features. Now if only it wasn't native...

Have you gentlemen heard the Pro-12? I say if you're going to emulate, then emulate. If you haven't gone to 4.5, it's worth the greens. I love their spot on emulations of Moog,Sequential,ARP,etc. I just wish they go for the Oberheims.

Of course I appreciate CW emulations and other scope devices. Hence my naming Gforce/Gmedia then adding the caveat that its 'still native' (ie, not scope  ). Heck I even play a small part in bringing a few 3rd party products to the Scope users out there.

Of course! Our synth are designed by John Bowen...

They can say their emulations are close to the real ones, we can say that our synths are made by the father of the original. There's no story

Back to Arturia...

They always tended to find someone that publically "endorsed" their products.

I wonder who is it this time??

They did ask me, but I declined, and suggested they contact Dave Smith. I don't know if he agreed or not..we'll see at NAMM.

im nott saying anything about john saying yes or no here, but i just have to say something: sometimes its more important who says "no" rather then who says "yes"!

sorry for using you, mr.bowen, to strike a weak point

I'm curious...did you decline out of loyalty to CreamWare or was it because you knew you'd make them spend another year fixing all the problems before you'd endorse it?
