Hello,

I hope someone can help!?

I have virus c desktop connected to my midi in/out ports on pulsar. I have novation remote controller keyboard connected thru usb. I use midi-ox to rout controller to pulsar midi and into virus. Works great.

BUT

I use Soundiver to send and receive patches from the computer to the virus. Sounddiver seems to lock pulsar midi in/out and i cant use midi-ox anymore.

How can I rout the controller to the virus while sounddiver is running?? I wanna preview the sounds by playing my keybaod and not clicking the mouse on the scope midi keyboard as I am doing now?

hope this makes sense.

use a midi-merger module in SFP before the midi destination that goes to the virus to add the keyboard data which arrive via a sequencer source module (if routed from midiox).

cheers, Tom

thanks tom, will give it a go when i get home tonight. I guess i could also boot up cubase sx, add a midi track with incoming from controller to achieve the same as you mentioned.

Something you can try if you still get lockups:

Under Options>Settings>MIDI Interface communication there are 2 fields for controlling buffersize (in KiloBytes) and the number of buffers. I currently have 2 buffers with 1KB per buffer and it works fine with my Virus, but I do recall having issues with older setups and needing to tweak the numbers. Don't recall what values I used.

If Sounddiver always hangs forever at startup there is a setting for that as well (also an 'additional timeout' that I have set to 0ms).
