Hi,

Please go easy on me as is my first post. Gotta say just how much I love the pulsar environment, I use it with VST5.0 (Never quite made it to SX as yet).
I recently installed SFP4.0 and after some midi activity input just disappears. I've tried numerous controllers and no luck. Also I've tried the midi keyboard device, still no luck. I tried cleaning the board etc but it's still just disappering. Can anyone help shed some light before I reformat and install XP AGAIN?

Thanks in advance

Hi smaegle. I used to use VST5.0 myself but recently "upgraded" to Live5. Never had such a problem myself though. When you say midi activity input disappears - is this after a long period of time? If you switch off your computer and then restart is all OK again? Is everything else OK (screen updates OK - system doesn't crash)? Does this happen after a certain amount of midi activity or after a certain amount of time (does the amount of midi activity and/or time period have any bearing on this problem)? I am sure I have read somewhere - possibly on the Cubase forum, that people have had problems with midi overflow - where their system cannot handle the amount of data being thrown at it. Could you possibly have too many midi devices/drivers loaded for your computer to handle? - I am sure I read this was a problem too for some users on the Cubase forum. Worth checking the Cubase forum.

Hey thanks for the reply, it turns out the problem was a faulty midi cable. Replaced it and no problems since. Back to the music grindstone
