This is made with a special technique that is played actually with your nails onto the strings, with strength, hammering every note with your index, this is an old technique used in the 60s – 70s by famous bass players of the time. Carol King was one of those using this grooving technique
As you can appreciate, the bass is not only fulfilling the bottom line harmonies, but also a percussive addition to the drum. The accents are played slightly behind the drums every two bits, this is what gives this tremendous groove feeling to the rhythm. I hope you like it. Thank you for your time.
