1)I assumed that when I saw the picture of the Luna, that the two 1/4 in. hook-ups were outputs for the monitors. I've read now that one is a stereo unbalanced input, and one is stereo unbalanced output. My alesis M1 speakers are balanced inputs.
Should I just get a Y-cable for the output and hook up my speakers? What kind of Y-cable? TRS to double TRS? TRS to double TS? Will it make a big difference in my sound to have an unbalanced input running into a balanced input? Should I get a line converter to change my signal to balanced before it goes to the speaker?
2)I'm putting the card in a newly put together machine with a NF7 mobo. I know about the IRQ situation, but does the card do better in one PCI slot than another?
Question about monitor speakers and Luna outputs/ Which PCI

well, there's no true standard, but usually devices with trs jacks are wired tip+ ring- and sleeve ground, so the worst thing you'll get is ring and sleeve shorted combining ground and - . no real problem.
if you wire a cable trs on one end and ts on another, t+ r- sg ---- t+ s- , you'll lift the ground between monitor and computer which could break any potential ground loop.....
