I did a search and saw that someone was thinking of trying out this chipset with Pulsar, but I didn't find any results. My situation is, I'm going to get a new AMD Athlon machine and put my Pulsar in. The default choice at the vendor is the Asus K8VSE-D, which has the VIA K8T800 chipset. I remember earlier VIA chipsets not doing that well with Pulsar, but I;m wondering if that's still the case.

I have the option of getting the Asus K8N-ED mobo instead, which has an nForce chipset. I've ehard good things about this; should I go for it as more of a "sure thing"?

Thanks for any input.

I have read couple of posts of users with this mainboard ( MSI K8N Neo Platinum with AMD64 3200)

as for VIA still not recommaded by CreamWare and I think it would be best to stay away from it

I think it's best to go for nForce 3 ultra, but dont know about different mobo layouts, i need to put in a 14DSP Srb, so i am still investigating... if there is anyone with more info please tell,

Thanks
