Hello,
P4 3.0 ghz
asus c800-e deluxe-usb except keyboard disabled,ht off.
1 gb ram
1 80 gb hd
1 160 gb sata hd
scope 4.0

Computer works fine, untill I open Cubase sx 2.After couple minutes, freeze.I think it have something to do with midi and rewire(reason).

I have this configuration for 6 months, and I can't get it to work properly. If there is no help,I will buy another motherboard, because this asus motherboard is SHAME.

Thanks,

does your keyboard controller transmit active sensing? if so, you will have to turn it off or filter it. use the midi monitor in scope to see what is being transmitted. the other thing to check for is a midi feedback loop, especially involving midi clock.

I reinstalled everything from scratch....AGAIN!...and now I turned it to standard pc mode,I must say that in that mode my computer is a bit slower(I think)...
Strange thing that in standard pc mode my motherboard midi input is recognized as "OTHER INPUT",not midi input, and there is no driver for that "other input"on my motherboard cd...on other side,in acpi mode everything is great.
I think I will turn back to acpi mode..
But then I have freezes..
Thanks...regards

Try moving the Creamware board to PCI slot 1 or 5. That will stop the IRQ sharing.
ACPI is fine with that ASUS mboard.
