Well its been a while since my last upload to the Z, this time I share a remix of D:Fuses "Everything With You", which for the most part was originally a club stomping house track, the vocals totally took me to a state of relaxation which led to the minimalistic approach I used in this track, it just went sort of break beat ambient feeling with a touch of jazz influences.

I think it could use some work but every time I go to add some fills it just detracts from the chill out vibe I feel I have created with this piece, any ways, I hope you all enjoy and let me know what I could use fixing or just some general thoughts on the track/mix/likes/dislikes etc etc.

Uses:

Many many CW plugs to name a few, Minimax, Profit 5, Pro One, STM2448, PsyQ, Multiple Vinco's, SPL Attacker, Delay S, a few limiters, Optimaster, And a chorus thrown in for good measure.

Many UAD plugs, LA-2A's on vox, 1176s on drums, and a few Pultec EQs specific parts and the master buss.

TC Powercore: Chorus Delay, a few Classic Verbs.

A whole mess of VST's, just too many to mention

A very pleasant tune, great production, and as mentioned, very nice drumwork.
Only thing if anything, was that I was kinda waiting for something more to happen, felt like it didn't evolve as much as it could have, but probably just me hoping that it would turn into a hardhitting breakstrack with some fat distorted bass and leadlines

But vey nice work indeed.

- Alan, the drums are actually layered samples squashed from 1176's, but the meat and pork of the kicks come from flexor (love flexor), in actuallity there is 3 different kicks at different velo's and 2 different snares, the rest are midi'd one shots made into homegrown loops.

- Moskeeto, I too was looking for ways to advance the track in the way it evolves and did also think of doing some nasty swelling hybrid like basslines, but every time I tried to put something that has more edge in the track it just cuts through the mix a tad too sharp. I dont think I done with this track and will do more work to it, but the direction will still be more subtle ways to trick out the percussion and make transitions a bit more fluent.

If you have actually thought of putting in some more nasty bassline, then you should really do it... please

Could really lift the track from a decent track to a killer track.

I would start with muting the vocals now and then, or at least one another vocal break.
Try to find the best place for it, mute it for quite some time, and then listen from start.
If you start missing something during the mute, try little things like dynamic changes, an extra midi note, some delays. this way keeping the thing as it is.
Yet not enough? then I would add something, you could think of a deep drone, or something bellish with delays, both not too loud in the mix.
Most important is that you stay with 'what's behind it', as I like it

as usual can't give any critic really as a very well produced track as always..

i'd agree with moskeeto though about getting a bit nasty with the track.
but then thats me i like a bit of nasty in every thing.. ying and yang and all that

this is what i speak to you..

thats the theme melody. i'd double it with voices. you try to build a verse on it.. keep the words and break a spoken verse on them. great work
