so... i don't really know much at all about wordclock. i know there has to be a master.

which is better to have as the master? the ada? or SFP? how should i connect it? through the ADAT I/O's?

basically what i want to do is connect my dj setup to the ada and then send it to cubase SX for recording.

also, when sending the audio out for monitoring... is it better to send the signal back through the ada and then to my monitors? or just plug the XLR L+R out of the card straight to the monitors?

as to momitoring, it's your choice. i'd use the analog outs on the whip for ease and use the ada for a headphone amp if you use one.

definitely use the adat connectors. as to wordclock, you can only use that if you have the optional syncplate and you probably don't need it. scope should probably be the digital sync master and the ada should probably be slave. sync will be through the adat connectors. if everything is happier with the ada as master, well fine, don't sweat it. the important thing is there can be only one master.....

ok. thanks.

just some quick questions about the connections.

what is the AES/EBU for? i know it's a digital I/O, with XLR... but, what makes it different from the regular XLR's?
