Hi,

Suddenly the output of my Creamware play/rec1 disappeared.. I couldn't hear my media player and winamp output anymore.. Still had ASIO output..
I changed the sound settings to play/rec2 and the sound is back again ?
Can anyone give me a clue on what i am doing wrong here ? very inexperienced...

cheers,

There should be another method no ? If i have to reinstall everything... that's tough... I'll try to reinstall the scope software first...

go for it. i hope that helps. as you can see from the link, however, this is a known windows problem that plagues many cards. it doesn't happen on MOST installations, though. that's the reason i suggested starting from scratch....

Removing all hardware entries (some of those are for software layer 'devices') and reinstalling SFP ***drivers*** should be enough.

thanx,

do you guys know where i can get the 4.0 scope installation files ? i downloaded them from the creamware site a few months ago, installed them and deleted them... not so clever...

i've already written an email to the creamware support but that would take a few days i think..

cheers,

too big to email...
download here:
http://www.cwaudio.de/index.php?submenu ... ex&lang=en

if the link doesn't work, don't panic as there have been server problems....i have downloaded many times. there have been no extra charges for updates yet. the software is only useable by someone with a card and a key. downloads are not protected.

sadly it doesn't help to reinstall the drivers.. as you can see i posted my routing screen.. as well as part of my registry and the mixer where you can see i have output on asio channel but the wav shows -58 dB ?
When i reinstalled the drivers nothing changed in the registry? No items added...

Hi,

About a year ago i wrote this thread hoping that someone could solve my problem.
Finally i managed to get wave sound again but i don't remember how..

As today, i have the same problem again. I tried to address the problem of stuttering sound when stopping or pausing an mp3 in wmp. One suggested to disable hardware acceleration in directsound setup which i did. After this alteration the wave output stopped...

Is there someone out there who knows how to solve this ? thanx for your help!

I would have expected you re-installed Windows then, if the 'simple' option didn't work

I once had exactly the same: Wave1 failed all of a sudden, switched to Wave2 and ignored the error.
Imho it's not worth digging a lot in Windows - it has some limitations (see links above), but additionally it's capable of any joke to mess things up.
Unfortunately re-install from scratch (as Gary suggested) is the only cure.

cheers, Tom

-58 dB is for Analog audio input (Not the wave)?

Something you can try:
Check the Windows Wave assignment.
Example: Control Panel -> ..Audio Device -> Audio Tab -> Sound playback Device.
Ensure it's selected the correct Wave device?

Good luck,
