Hi,
Would it be possible to assign, for example, mixer channels from 1-8 and also 9-16 with MIDI controlers 1-8 for both. But to have it as A and B sections.
That is 1-8 will be MIDI 1-8A
9-16 will be MIDI 1-8B
So if I have a controller that only has 8 MIDI faders,I can just select A or B to control which set of faders to affect.
Thanks

AFAIK this is more up t your controller than SFP. in example, if your controller transmit 8 (this is trying to keep it simple) midi messageas (in example, you have 8 faders on your controller), you could assign these to message (assignment, control) 8 different objectives.
Now, if you in addition to those 8 faders have a "shift", "alternative" or some button in that name or like that name on your hardware controller, this would send (in example) button one as button nine, and you could assign that fader nr.9 to do a different job. in example, fader 1 would do volume, but if you pressed the "shift" or "alt" button it would do filter cutoff instead (might be a bad example, but whatever).
This might be a bad example, but its more yo your controller than SFP

Another way to do it - depending on the mixer you use this may work or not, and the Controller has to be able to send program changes:
Make 2 banks of MIDI presets, one for 1-8 and one for 9-16, both using CC# 1-8. Then when you press A or B, the MIDI Remote preset can be selected and the CC# will follow the bank you've selected...
It works with basic things like Volume and Pan. Other controls may not be properly implemented in the MIDI Presets.
If you're using Micro or Dynamic Mixer, you could load 2 in parallel and on a different MIDI Channel as a 3rd option.
See what works for your setup, you may use one of these 3 methods...
