I'm all excited to have received the SDK cd,
but it won't fire up the SDK startup project. Gives me an error message.

I have the activation key, but I don't see a serial number anywhere. Aren't you supposed to have one? The SDK isn't listed on my allkeys file. Is it on yours?

I'm having the same problem. After installing the SDK, I'm prompted to activate it. I have the activation code, but no idea what the software serial number is.

What was the solution?

thanks!

Hi, I have the same issues as you with the SDK, can't find the proj file, activation keys don't work, etc. Ralf so far has sent me additional SDK activation keys twice.

I was able to fire it up about 5 times total.

My regular Scope install's keys also stopped working, and Ralf previously re-did those. They worked fine for about 2 months.

It's like someone at CW decides to up and mess with my files every so often.

My Pulsar II installs and runs fine, so I have just the basic software running, but 21 DSP's. This tells me my computer setup is working OK, and probably the physical Scope board, too.

I have questions about the SDK, looks like it's a work in progress. Or it was ripped out of someone's hands in the middle of writing it.

Actually, I'm not sure my Scope board is physically fine. I'm starting to suspect maybe the keys are getting corrupted in an eeprom that's not perfect. Or maybe there's corruption to do with my loose-fitting STDM cable.

For anybody's information,

My above problems with activation keys suddenly not working, apparently had to do with the card's seating in the pci slot, or the contacts not being perfectly clean. Tech support told me to clean my contacts, which I had already done.

I thought that was a weird suggestion, since my board's dsp's were functioning. But when I moved it to the end pci slot, I was suddenly able to reinstall all my software again. Without getting new keys.

I know that if I put the board in the other pci slots, the I/O plate's bottom edge hits the adjacent slot. So I guess that kept it from seating really deep enough.

I tried Pete's suggestion but had no luck. I removed all the PCI cards from my computer except for the video card. I then tried putting the Scope card in each PCI slot, reinstalling the latest WMD driver and the SDK. Installation works fine, but when I try to run the SDK I am prompted to register CreamWare Scope.

I've sent the request string off to Ralf so hopefully I'll get a new key soon.

Thanks for the idea, though, Pete.

What's so funny? I know I fat-fingered wdm, but that's hardly worth a giggle.
