Hello there,
I am wondering which is the best order for a complete installation on a PC. My setup is :
P4 3.0GHz, 2Gb Kingston, Intel D875PBZ, Matrox Parhelia, 2 Pulsars 2 Plus, Gigastudio, Nuendo 2. My current configuration is ACPI, HT off.

Thank you

After doing some tests (I work mainly with MIDI - occasionaly audio, 15-20 tracks), I found a much better operation of the CPU (at the VST meter) with HT off. I also did try the Nuendo demo which is a multimedia project with video and 20 audio tracks and the meter didn't show neither moved with HT off (it showed CPU activity and peaks of 10-15% with HT on). So I decided to put it off (before Windows installation).

i'm not convinced that the gains using ht justify the potential headache either....

I think the ACPI is more troublesome than HT. You can have HT enabled without ACPI.
